The time for the start of the 2008-2009 school year is nearly here, and with that comes the start of the Crusader Athletic Seasons. FLCS is looking forward to another exciting year as we enter into our second year of Varsity Soccer and continued growth in the Volleyball program.
As student-athletes and their parents prepare for their athletic seasons, there is some important information each family will need.
1) FORMS – Attached to the bottom of this article are the forms necessary to participate on any athletic team. These forms are required by the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and are mandatory before any participation can begin. Please bring this completed forms with you to your first practice.
2) DATES – The starting dates for Fall Sports are as follows.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Varsity Thursday, August 14 – 3:00 PM
Jr. Varsity Thursday, August 14 – 3:00 PM
Middle School Thursday, August 14 – 3:00 PM
Elementary Monday, August 18 – 3:00 PM
SOCCER
Boys Varsity Thursday, August 7 – 3:00 PM
Middle School Monday, August 18 – 3:00 PM
(Coed)
3) FEES – The sports participation fee for this year is $100 per season. Once a student has attended a contest as a member of the team, they are considered to have been a member of the team. Any student who chooses to quit a team after the first contest will still be required to pay the participation fee. Fees are due to the business office on the following dates.
